Stephen T. McClard
Stephen T. McClard (born September 18, 1967 in Farmington, Missouri) Band Director, Furniture Designer, Professional Musician, 3rd Generation Piano Technician, Luthier and Author of the book, ''The Superior Educator: A Calm and Assertive Approach to Classroom Management and Large Group Motivation''. Currently (2002 to present), Director of Bands at Bolivar High School, Bolivar, Missouri. McClard is also known for his one-of-a-kind Pianodesks and Bass Guitars. ()
In 2006, Mr. McClard was named by SBO Magazine as one of the 50 Directors Who Make a Difference. In 2006, 2008 and 2009, Bolivar RI School District was named one of the "Best 100 Communities for Music Education" in America by the American Music Conference. Mr. McClard was previously featured on the cover of the 2003 issue of SBO Magazine for his work with music technology.
==Early career==
McClard attended Southeast Missouri State University from 1986 to 1990 where he graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education. His first teaching assignments were in southeast Missouri and southern Illinois.
